First I wanted to say thanks for all the well wishes I have got from everyone on here, email, and facebook. We are all doing so much better for the moment. lol We knew as soon as we switched Dylan's preschool that we would battle all sorts of new germ-es.
NEXT . . .I just wanted to mention I have some exciting news regarding an event that will be coming next Spring that I will have the privilege of teaching at! I can't wait to share it with you. Keep an eye out for the save the date in the next day or two! Here's a hint, a small hint, you are going to really HEART the theme. te he he. I am horrible about keeping secrets!
A few updates. When we had Dylan we had to give up the computer room, which meant the big unsightly computer desk we had went into the living room. It took up so much space and I hated it! Well, once I have my attic craft room, it will go up there. BUT that could still be 6 months away! The more updates I made, the worse that desk looked. SO for the time being I had to find a way to blend the computer in to the room. This stand (above) was empty at the time, so I put it to use! I just take the keyboard out when it is in use. I was going to get a stool, but surprisingly I kinda like the eye level of a chair. So for the time being it is a much better option than the ugly desk!
In the place of where the desk was eventually will be a mantle, BUT for the moment since I am trying to create a little bit of a outdoors indoor feel, I brought in the iron table that was just sitting out on the back porch. I will be making white ruffle cushions for the chairs.
The furniture is now all covered with slipcovers and lace. This REALLY helped lighten up the room. Below is a before pic. The dark burgundy really made the room dark.
My Kitty Octane now matches every thing lol.
I also got this HUGE trunk the other day at the thrift store for a great deal!
The hubby is gonna cut it almost in half and put legs on it. Then it will go in front of our love seat.
I love it! Next thing for the house I need to make ruffle cushions, I have curtains coming, hubby is building the TV stand, and I have a few other old windows and other pieces I want to put mirror in. It's been fun! BUT SO MUCH MORE TO DO LOL.
Thanks for visiting!

Works in progress always jazz me! And I'm guessing you and I are probably a lot a like in the design department. :)
But what I enjoy more than anything here is the latest news, with tips. Yu've given me every brand new idea you've got surrounding how to make everything look fresher, and without going overboard with expense!
So much fun here! I hate to walk away.
Have a happy and safe 4th!
