BUT, NOW . . . Finally I THINK that after all of that we are in the clear! So we have all been working hard to get ready to leave for our trip to the Miami area for the Paris Sale this Friday.
I can't wait to go, and I can't wait to get back! lol The Paris sale is going to be so much fun, but when I return I get to jump head first into the Marie event!
I thought I would share with you a few more peeks of things I have created for the Paris sale.
I had a lot of fun dying this rayon and silk ribbon!
Another one of my favorite project was making a basket full of Christmas ornaments. I found a really fun tutorial on Martha Stewart's site for cute ornaments made using paper clay and cookie molds. You have got to check this out! CLICK HERE
I'm not gonna lie, the cookie molds are pretty costly, BUT after making them, GOODNESS . . . I wanted to go back and order LOTS more! These molds are AMAZING! I purchased a rose one.
Can you imagine making cookies that looked this sweet! I just love them. My only complaint is when I made mine I thought the paper clay worked best with a powdered mold, instead of using mold release like in Martha's tutorial. I used baby powder. The other thing I noticed was, with this mold the rose was very deep, and no matter how many presses the rose was not turning out. Finally I realized if I put a small ball of clay in the part of the mold where the rose was, and then pressed it, it then came out perfect!
And lastly I have played around with a few digital things. One is a new Paris themed collage sheet which is available for purchase in my Etsy shop. I also played around with making my own frame brushes.
Please feel free to use the above frame free for your personal blog and personal artwork. To save it, click on the image and then right click to save.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I will be sure to take lots of photos to share with you on my trip! :) See ya soon!
