(Beautiful apron and purse created by Bryanna! Check out her new shop!)
Our trip to the Paris Tent Sale was so much fun! Michelle did such a great job putting it all together!
I won't lie, it was lots of work (considering my family was sick for almost FOUR weeks), but also lots of fun! This was my very first time vending with a tent. My husband and son Dylan went with me. The weather was lovely for both days of the event!
Friday night was the first opening, the turn out was lovely and it was so great to see every one's beautiful tents twinkle with white lights. I am sad to say the first day we where a little behind setting up so I was not able to take any photos :(
(Lovely chalk board made by my husband, horrible handwriting provided by me lol)
HOWEVER Saturday went very smoothly and I was able to set up and get some photos of my booth and all the other lovely artist. I tried REALLY hard to stop by every one's tent, BUT somethings did not goes as planned.
(Dylan and me at the hotel)
FOR EXAMPLE . . . the word "plan" has NO MEANING to a 2 , well ALMOST 3 year old! lol So even though my husband had good intentions of stopping by so I could have a break to visit everyone, it did not happen.
There where moments here and there when I could hop on over to another booth to say hello to a fellow artist and snap some photos.
I had so much fun that I decided to do two different post. The next post will include some photos of the goodies I had time to get, and some of the wonderful people I got to meet.
(I really liked these bracelets I was so happy to see they both sold)
(I made a "fill your own bag" section which I thought was fun)
I was very happy with how my booth turned out. For the most part it was just how I visioned it. HOWEVER . . . one of the things I wanted to make was a large flag style banner to put up in the back of the tent. With everyone sick on and off prior to the event, I was not able to make it. After setting up, I kept thinking. . . "GOSH if only I had that banner!" lol
My husband made me all kinds of neat things to use, like things to hang my jewelry on, a chalk board, and white pleated table cloths to name a few.
I was flattered to do good with my sales, and I even won "The prettiest Booth" award which was so very sweet! The prize was a lovely vintage cake stand which was so DARLING and filled with pretty goodies. I LOVE this cake stand! I can't wait to put one of my cakes inside!
(Michelle and I)
It was a great time, and Dylan was such a good boy! My husband found a great park to take him to, so Dylan loved hanging out there on Saturday.
We also stopped off again today on the way home so we could calm him down for the ride home. It worked pretty well lol.
(He's getting so big TOO quick! Dylan will be 3 the end of January.)
I did not think I had as much stuff as I did lol, I sold great, but still I have lots of pretties to share. I will very soon be uploading a few things into my Etsy shop, BUT if you have seen something you are interested in, send me an email (cdvcreations@yahoo.com) and I will see if I still have it. Keep an eye out for my next post. :)
Thanks so much for coming by!
