I started off by picking up Bryanna from the airport on Tuesday night and we headed out on Wednesday morning. We made arrangements to stay a night in Jacksonville. We stayed at a Crown Royal hotel in downtown. It had a beautiful view of the bridge . I thought it was neat.
We arrived in Jacksonville around noon and hit the town. We stopped off at a Peterbrooke chocolate factory, and we found this wonderful place called Bistro Aix for lunch. From there we went around searching for Antique shops. We found some really good ones, but my favorite was the first one we visited. It was called Enchanted Antiques and was a Shabby Chic style shop with lots of pretty things. The lady there was so very helpful!
She had lots of adorable things. Lots of adorable bunnies!
A beautiful bedroom set up with very pretty linens and pillows.
And I just loved these adorable little dolls!
After the shops we headed out to Hobby Lobby. We don't have one here, and I was very excited to go. WOW nothing like the local Micheal's I shop at, BUT I will say I think Micheal's has a better jewelry selection. But it was neat that Hobby Lobby carried Vintaj brass. Their brass chain is my all time favorite!
After all our shopping it was so LATE and we were so hungry! We decided to eat at a Ruth's Chris Steak House that was in the hotel. WOW how amazing! I have never ate at a Ruth's Chris and boy was I glad we went! It all was so VERY good!
It was a great day! My birthday was in April, and Bryanna was so sweet and brought me some amazing gifts.
She made me this adorable blue apron. The material is so wonderful! My dress form is enjoying her new look. I have really been wanting a pretty apron, and it was so sweet of her to make me one. She also knows how much I am enjoying Blythe right now and got me this amazing book, and adorable outfit for my new dolly.
I did not purchase too much on our shopping day out, but I did get a few really amazing treasures! Here's what I got:
A few of these beauties will be used to make a charm bracelet in memory of the event.
I plan on taking this necklace apart to use the beautiful beads.
Lastly I wanted to let everyone know that what did not sell at the vendor fair, I will be putting it on sale and slowly adding it to my Etsy shop each week. Here are a few of the things I have added this week. Click on the picture to visit my shop.
Thanks for stopping by! Stay tuned for more on the event!

As a local, I was extremely happy to read you had a great stay here in Jacksonville. If I had known beforehand I could have recommended a coupla places in the general area you were at but it looks like you hit some great spots all on your own. Sharing a bit of personal nostalgia on a fantastic historical mansion very close to where you visited: http://withagrainofart.blogspot.com/2010/02/down-trail-and-back-again.htmlThanks for sharing. I enjoyed reading.
