I was happy to participate in a Valentine swap hosted by Cathy at Treasured Heirlooms. To play we had to take a large paper mache heart, decorate it, and fill it with goodies. Each player specified what colors they would like. My swap partner was Sarah from My so Called Junky Life. She picked the color pink, which was very exciting to me because I LOVE to create stuff in pink.
I also included on the outside a few pieces of ephemera, and paper items. Lastly I made her a necklace from a piece of vintage jewelry I had.
It was a pleasure creating for Sarah, and I am so glad she liked what I created for her. I have always admired Sarah's art, and was so excited when I received my package from her.
When I stumbled upon Sarah it was when I purchased one of her beautiful kits on Etsy full of vintage millinery and trims. I shared with her in one conversation that I just LOVED vintage millinery, but have a hard time finding it around here. As a matter of fact I was currently on a search for some (I will share my millinery finds in another post soon) when her box arrived. Imagine my surprise when THIS BEAUTIFUL BOX ARRIVED!
HOW LOVELY IS THIS! The top of the box was COVERED with such beautiful millinery and crepe paper ruffle. And the adorable pink mushroom bird. ADORABLE!
I loved it so much I had to take a few photos of the beautiful flowers. The display of beautiful colors continued as I opened the box. Inside was a beautiful cluster of MORE beautiful flowers.

Last but not least she included a bag of rhinestone jewels, pearls, beads, and other beautiful jewelry pieces. THANKS AGAIN SARAH! I just love all my goodies.
