I have been working on some product to sell and wanted to share with you one of the things I created. I finished this bracelet up yesterday. It took me about 4 days to create. I started off by creating a variety of different background images.
(Felt before distressing)
Since the bracelet will be going to a shop to be sold, I thought it would be neat to create a special way to present it. I picked up a copy of the recent Belle Armoire Jewelry magazine, and loved the article on page 127. I thought felt sounded like a neat idea and I loved the look of it.
After seeing the photo of felt presentation in the magazine I also received a bracelet for a swap I was in and my friend Terri Gordon made a felt pouch for her bracelet to protect it in shipping. I wish I had a photo to share with you, but I could not find one on her blog. Anyways, it was very inspiring and I knew I wanted to give it a try.
(Felt after distressing)
I was very happy with how my felt envelope turned out, however after taking photos of it (above) I thought it looked like it needed a little distressing. I wanted it to look a little more worn than what it did. So I applied some dyes to try to achieve a more slightly worn appearance. This seemed to be the missing touch, and I am very happy with it now.

Well, thanks for stopping by and peeking into the process of my creation.
