The truth is though a small part of me feels like a weight lifted. Long story short there is just not enough time in the day. It has been very challenging for our family this year. Every other month we have battles of thing or another. And even as I sit here writing this, I just got back from the vet with my kitty cat Octane. Both my Doxies have been having issues lately with there backs, which has been stressful, then the other night Octane comes into the house limping.
Well today he starts obsessively grooming his bad leg and the next thing I know there is a bad open wound and blood on the floor! Well, Octane's gaping hole trumped out the dogs sore backs (if they would just stop trying to jump on and off the furniture, or stop when we tell them wait, this would not be such a big problem!)
The vet shaved and cleaned his wound and he has 3 large DEEP holes, and one small deep hole in his hind leg! It is VERY bruised and looks so sore. They can't bandage it because they said it needs to be open to heal. It's just so hard to look at it! And he does not seemed to be so thrilled with his hair cut.
For those of you who have curious minds and strong stomachs CLICK HERE to see a photo of it.
It's just always something. I should know that by now. Well between my funny farm, Dylan, my family, shops, event, and creative interest something had to give. Therefore I have decided when I am not chasing Dylan, or at the doctors or vet I am going to focus my free time on trying to create things to sell, and focus on my Etsy shops and my event. So of course I will still be around in blogland.
On a happier note, when I got home from the vet I received the most amazing package in the mail from Laurie! She was my secret partner for our Christmas Marie swap. She sent me lots of pretty things! We have a storm coming in so the lighting went bad before I could finish my photo shoot lol, but here are a few of the lovely things she sent me.
Beautiful ribbon, and lace. This is only some of it.
Lots of pretty paper goodies and some adorable Marie tags.
Lots of pretty trinkets to embellish with and use in my jewelry that came in a beautiful jar.
A beautiful sparkly necklace and crown.
This is only a small taste of the many pretty things she sent! She also sent Dylan an adorable little Dinosaur egg toy. Thanks so very much Laurie.
And thank YOU so very much for stopping by and visiting, and for all your lovely comments.

Cassandra, I am so sorry and sad, it will not be the same. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for starting the Marie Antoinette Mail Art Group, I have met so many lovely artists and have enjoyed myself tremendously. It has been a sad day for me, but I understand, I hope things calm down for you and your family and I hope your cat gets better. I wish nothing but the best for you Cassandra. I will miss you. Take care and have a wonderful Holiday Season. xoxo, Hugs, Terri

I always admire someone who knows their limitations and has good boundaries between the different parts of their lives.

You have certainly had your share of health problems this year, either with Dylan, yourself or your pets! I couldnt look at the photo of the bad leg as it sounded too awful and my stomach isnt that strong! Hope it heals very soon. What beautiful goodies you got from Laurie - you lucky girl. They look as though they are right up your street.HugsBarbara

Gosh darn...I clicked anyway. I knew I shouldnt have...poor kitty. Did they say what was wrong??? Maybe a bite of some sort?Im so happy that you posted your gifts to lighten things up. Laurie sure spoiled you, everything is so beautiful.I dont know too much about your Marie Club but its good to know that you are taking time for yourself and family (and the furries too). Its soooo easy to get caught up in the fun stuff. When we realize it, sometimes the important things get left behind.everything vintage

A wise person recognizes their limitations and honors them. You did the right thing. I have always felt tht sometimes, we have run our course. Our time is complete with a project, a person or a group. It is time to pass the torch. Who is to say that perhaps in the future you can pick up your MA group at a later date. There may also be other adventures for you to come. Take care of your self, your family an those wonderful 4-leggeds. They need you most right now. Sea Witch
