My Own Treasure Chest

I don't know what it is about vintage jewelry, but I LOVE it! I myself really don't wear jewelry often, but there is something about this stuff! I keep collecting, and collecting, and collecting! I love the sparkle, I adore the aged patina and the missing stones, and I am fueled by the excitement of the hunt!

There are so many possibilities! I love to create repurposed jewelry with it, and add it to my art projects. Lately I have noticed though that some pieces I have a hard time letting go and have enjoyed collecting for my self.

Oh the self control I had to use today! lol One thing I have really liked as of late is the brooches. When I reorganized my supplies recently I started to store my bits and pieces of ribbon in a hanging cloth organizer. I have been attaching some of my pins there. I also like to adore them on de la Bella. I went to the Webster flea market again and my head was just spinning with all the beautiful jewels around. If it was not so hot I would have loved to stay all day! lol

I found some really amazing things! I wanted to share with you some of my favorites. Every piece I bought is beautiful, but I have some favorites. Below is one of my favorites. I really love the detail on these beautiful silver cuffs. The one to the right is my favorite. I have plans for it already! :)

Another favorite is this cluster of gold flowers. I am going to add other items and colors to it and transform it into a necklace.

I got the two pieces below to use for creating necklaces as well. The first one looks really pretty in person, I LOVE THE COLOR. The second one has lots of detail and will also look amazing as a necklace too I think.

I am so happy with all my purchases! I got such a GREAT deal on everything and I can't wait to go back! I don't know what piece I want to work on first! :)
