I am so excited to share with you all my found goodies! Last week I went down town, old Dade City that is, and went through some wonderful shops. I live about 5-10 minutes away, and have yet to be able to explore all of it.
I found the most amazing little shop! I don't remember the name exactly, but it is something like Shabby Pink Cottage. It is this little shack between two larger buildings, and it is hard to explain, but it looks so funny, and tiny sitting where it is. Next time I go I want to take photos to. It is such a cute little cottage full of filly froufrou treats!
My mother n law and I also went to the Webster flea market yesterday! And boy let me tell ya I got some GOOD treats! I am so excited I am not sure where to start!
The first shop is the shop that carries all sorts of vintage lace and trims. I was excited to pick up some more lace in pretty pinks and blues. I am not sure what it is called, but she also had this stuff that looks like stiff crepe paper twisted up. I LOVE this stuff!
I know Michael's some times carries some, but I was happy to find some pretty colors at the flea market. I got light blue, pink/peach, purple, and black. She sold it 10 feet for a dollar. Above is a photo of what it looks like open. It reminds me of vintage crepe paper.I also got two cute mushroom birds, one blue, and one pink. A couple shops down I got a large greeting card that had the most beautiful pink frame! I got a deal on a pretty medium sized vase with roses on it, and found a pretty aqua one that I am going to put pink roses in.
I also got the most amazing large cage for $15! I personally thought it was a deal, it measures about 25inches tall. I got it to paint white and hang my necklaces off of it to display. I also found the neatest little wire picture holder. I am not sure what I will do with it yet, but it is so pretty, I will find something to do with it.
I found lots of pretty handkerchiefs, scarfs, and a pretty light pink linen that might be a table cloth, or bed sheet, not sure, but it is big! Also when I was in Dade City I found a Quilt shop and went in to see what kind of fabric they had. I found the prettiest fabric with pretty frilly dressed French dressed ladies.
AND NOW . . . . For the revealing of my Dress Forms new name! I am proud to introduce you to . . . GiSeLLe dE La BeLLa!
I could not pick just one name! I have to tell you the story behind this name. I was so happy with the suggestions, and many of the names called out to me, but when I heard these I just know it was perfect! Two of my FAVORITE movies right now are Twilight and Enchanted! So when I saw Giselle and Bella! WOW I started to think. ALSO ironically for those who knows me personally I have an odd personality. I have two very different styles that are mixed together to make me . . . me. Part of me feels like a Giselle, and part of me feels like a Bella. I always get a kick out of my off the way results for personality test. I even come up almost half and half on a "introvert, extrovert" quiz. lol So this name was neat to me because of the two very different characters. And as far as "de la" well . . . I just love it! I love how it rolls of the tongue and it just brings the two names together so nicely!
So congrats to: Kim, Talulahblue, and Kristin from Retro Cafe! Kim's vote was "Giselle", Talulahblue's vote was "Madame` de la Froufrou au Pompidorie` Delight" (I only used the "de la" part, but I am still giving her credit since no one else said "de la" in the name), and Kristan said "Izabella, or Bella for short". I will be getting in touch with you to see what kind of prizes you would like. I just might have to add a week to my time line to finish though since I am makes 3 not 1 treat. lol
I think I might just call her "Gigi de la" when she acts up lol.
Thanks so much to everyone who visited me and shared their name ideas. This was so much fun!

Fabulous choice Cassandra! I knew when I read Bella that it had to do with Twilight. I love what you did with your dress form and feel inspired to do something with my smaller version. One day I hope to hit the jackpot and have one like yours. And speaking of jackpot, you hit several with all of your wonderful goodies! Just fabulous! Hope you and the potty training are doing well! Or should I say going well, lol! Rhonda...
