This plate was the first thing I really fell in love with. It would probably be my most treasured find. I must say I don't know much about this stuff, and I don't collect plates, but this was just so pretty I really wanted it. The back does not say much other than "Germany 201".
I also found this small frame. The booth I found this at had all kinds of old Italian looking decor. I must say I would not have been able to tell for sure or not, if it was really Italian but it was all so pretty. This frame I just had to have though. The lady says it is from Italy. The glass on top is rounded. The lady told me it is a very rare find. Whether she is right or not I don't know, but I had to have it.
I would probably have to say my best finds over all were jewelry. Above is a photo of my junk jewelry find. Here the lady had a lot of chandelier crystals, and a sorts of containers with bits and pieces of jewelry. The deal was you got a bag and filled it with all you would like for $5. I thought it was a good deal because in the past when I purchased "junk jewelry" bags on line I got a whole lot of . . . . well, junk. But this way I could pick what I wanted. I found a lot of pretty flower pieces.
The jewelry above would probably be considered my biggest splurge. This lady have cases and cases and CASES of jewelry. She said all of it was vintage and lots of it signed. She seemed to know a lot about what she was selling, but it all went over my head. When she asked me if the jewelry was for me I hated telling her I was going to be pulling it apart for my art. lol I was glad I did though because she says she has lots of loose rhinestones, earring that are missing a pair and old broken pieces she would cut me a deal on if I call her before I come. You would not believe how much this jewelry sparkles! I can't wait to play with it. I just love the little aqua flowers.
And this ribbon and trim probably would be considered my best buy! I room FULL of ribbon and trims. Many of them looked like they were very old. There where boxes piled high! It was the only shop that there was so much stuff it was not all displayed you had to fish through some of it. Because it was the first shop that caught my attention and I did not want to go over board so soon in the day I only picked a few and avoided looking through all the boxes. I picked out the 5 items above and they were all about $.35 to $.50 a yard! So I got 3-5 yds of each. My favorite is probably the second one to the right. The ribbon in the center is actually a very pretty metallic pink, and the lace around it is a pretty cream color.
I would say it was a very suscessful day!

you did well for yourself!I wish we had a flea market around us...the nearest one is about two hours.Wouldn't you think in the heart of CT there would be flea markets? But, nope - just lots of farmers' markets with organically grown produce and meats and flowers. WHich is all well and good - but you can't make art with it!The jewelry bits and pieces are a terrific find!
